Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is one of the leading and most widely recognized forms of treatment for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Pediatrics Plus uses ABA as a tool to equip and empower individuals with skills that help them conquer their world!
At Pediatrics Plus, we believe in listening to the family and the child with autism, if and when s/he can speak for themself. By listening to the family or the child, we can ensure that the treatment strategies chosen for each client are customized to the family and the client’s goals.
We believe at Pediatrics Plus that ABA therapy can and should be done in a way that promotes independence and empowers the child to be the best version of who they are. The primary focus areas are increasing skills in communication, social skills, and toilet training while simultaneously reducing behaviors that interfere with engaging in their daily activities.
How is ABA at Pediatrics Plus Different?
We evaluate the individual child’s strengths, areas for growth, and personal goals
- Treatment plans are tailored to the needs of each child.
- We celebrate the individuality, interests, and existing skills of your child! We want to incorporate their interests into the therapy process and build on their strengths.

We walk with your child as they learn new skills in natural-environment spaces
- ABA uses encouragement to develop communication, language, attention, and social skills.
- Pediatrics Plus locations are equipped with therapy spaces designed to help generalize skills to environments that are more familiar to your child. Different locations have mock bedrooms, kitchens, “backyards,” and more to help your child translate skills to spaces they might encounter in their everyday life.
We use play-based therapy methods
- We believe play is your child’s primary job. They learn and explore new skills while they play.
- We use play activities to introduce new concepts.
We use a collaborative therapy approach
- Pediatrics Plus offers Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy!
- These additional therapies can complement some children’s treatment plans depending on their individual goals.
We are your child’s [and your family’s] biggest supporters!
- We empower your family with training sessions so you can participate in your child’s journey!
