What you will do:

The ABA Clinical Line Lead serves as the clinical leader for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services at Pediatrics Plus. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Clinical Lines, this role carries accountability for the clinical quality, compliance, strategic direction, and cultural integrity of ABA programming across all Pediatrics Plus sites. This leader partners across clinical lines, operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure that Pediatrics Plus delivers exceptional, evidence-based, and scalable ABA programming in alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and growth trajectory.

  • Leads by example and ensures the Pediatrics Plus culture, mission, and core values are reinforced across all ABA programming, decision-making, and team interactions at every level of the organization.
  • Provides enterprise-level leadership and strategic direction for all ABA and autism services across all Pediatrics Plus sites and states, including telehealth.
  • Directly leads, develops, and evaluates the ABA Fieldwork Program Coordinator, ABA Clinical Compliance and Education Coordinator, and Directors of ABA Services, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented leadership team.
  • Drives hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning for all Director-level ABA roles.
  • Upholds and models the leadership principles and management philosophy of Pediatrics Plus in all interactions and decisions.
  • Develops and executes a multi-year strategic vision for ABA programming that aligns with Pediatrics Plus’s organizational goals, expansion plans, and commitment to clinical excellence.
  • Anticipates and plans proactively for needed changes based on trends, regulatory shifts, evidence-based research, and data analytics.
  • Coordinates and executes ABA and autism-based initiatives designed for the overall betterment of service provision across Pediatrics Plus.
  • Leads ABA programming expansion as new sites and states are onboarded, providing clinical infrastructure, leadership, and guidance in partnership with the SVP and forward/integration teams.
  • Collaborates with Senior Vice President, VP roles, and the forward team to initiate, integrate, and complete the transition of new sites and programs into the ABA operational structure.
  • Researches and reports on emerging evidence-based practices, enhancements, and new programs available to families affected by autism, and evaluates their integration into the Pediatrics Plus model.
  • Holds full budget ownership for the ABA clinical line, including budget forecasting, annual budget development in partnership with finance and operations, and decision-making with a clear understanding of financial impact across all sites.
  • Oversees and ensures the clinical quality, fidelity, and outcomes of ABA programming across all sites through systems of quality assurance, site visits, individual coaching, and Director-led feedback loops.
  • Monitors ABA programming for best practices and measurable outcomes, ensuring that supervision and training are provided per BACB and state regulations.
  • Monitors all practices and record-keeping, confirming compliance with state requirements, professional standards, and payor guidelines across all operations.
  • Leads organizational accreditation readiness and maintenance for ABA services, including audit preparedness and ongoing internal and external evaluations.
  • Reviews outsourced assessments to ensure that funding guidelines and clinical quality standards are met.
  • Maintains and advances quality assurance measures as established by Pediatrics Plus administration.
  • Collaborates with SVP and peer Clinical Line Leads to build a unified operational structure across all clinical lines that honors and values each team member.
  • Collaborates with operations and administrative teams to ensure ABA service delivery is structurally sound, scalable, and aligned with organizational systems.
  • Collaborates with VP roles, team members, and the deTASO liaison to update, develop, and modify ABA and therapy-related components of deTASO as needed for optimal tracking, visibility, and operational functioning.
  • Leads and collaborates with Directors of ABA Services for implementation of training, programming, and site-specific needs across the organization.
  • Leads and collaborates with the ASD Evaluator for best practice evaluation tools and funding requirements for ASD evaluations.
  • Communicates overall ABA program quality, culture, needs, and successes to the SVP of Clinical Lines on a regular basis.
  • Problem solves and critically assesses opportunities to improve quality, processes, and structure, and communicates findings and recommendations to the SVP.
  • Provides continued development of ABA structure at the company and site level, including Director roles and expectations, fieldwork processes, mentoring programs, scheduling, and other areas as needed.
  • Responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of training modules and professional development programming related to ABA services across the organization.
  • Assists with marketing events and initiatives as needed and/or requested.
  • Attends required planning, leadership, and team meetings as directed by the SVP.
  • Demonstrates continued personal growth in clinical, leadership, and strategic skills through ongoing learning and application.
  • Responds constructively to feedback concerning job performance and models a growth mindset for all direct reports.
  • Participates in annual performance reviews for continued professional development and growth.
  • Participates in regular one-on-one meetings with the SVP of Clinical Lines.
  • Assists and supports executive leadership during company-wide initiatives.
  • Communicates any needs, concerns, or proactive recommendations to the SVP of Clinical Lines.

What you have:

  • Exceptional ability to communicate strategically and persuasively with a wide range of stakeholders, from frontline clinical staff to executive leadership, families, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills with the ability to manage complexity across multiple sites, states, and teams simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency with clinical and operational software including databases, EMR/EHR systems, LMS platforms, and productivity tools (including deTASO).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret clinical, financial, and operational data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and develop policies, clinical documentation, regulatory guidance, and organizational standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and present effectively before organizational leadership, clinical teams, families, and external audiences.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple high-stakes initiatives in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Reports for work dressed professionally in compliance with Pediatrics Plus policies.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and complete responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Maintains dependable transportation and willingness to travel regularly across sites; overnight travel required.

 

Requirements:

  • Required
    • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential in good standing
    • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in ABA services
    • Demonstrated experience managing Director-level staff and developing clinical leadership teams
    • Proven ability to lead clinical quality assurance, compliance, and accreditation efforts at an organizational level
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred
    • Experience with a multi-site or multi-state ABA organization
    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and clinical content development
    • Strong curriculum development, training, and organizational skills
    • Experience supervising or mentoring ABA fieldwork students
    • Knowledge of BACB fieldwork eligibility requirements and supervision standards
