Meet our Directors:
Chelsey Moore
Sherwood Preschool Director
My name is Chelsey Moore, and I am the Preschool Director at the Sherwood Developmental Preschool. I have been an educator for over 15 years, and my passion is making educational success accessible for all. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Central Arkansas. I met my dear husband at an Allman Brothers concert in 2008, and he’s been my blue sky ever since. We have three beautiful and fun children who light up our lives.
I started at Pediatrics Plus when my own children started receiving services, and I immediately fell in love with the “vibe.” The staff, the administration, the children - it’s all an amazing production to behold, and it wouldn’t be possible without the steadfast commitment to the vision and values.
I have worked with learners from birth to age 90, and it has all confirmed the importance of early intervention. I feel blessed to be leading the classrooms in Sherwood.
Brittany Simmons
Sherwood Therapy Director
My name is Brittany Simmons, and I am the Sherwood Therapy Director. I am also an Occupational Therapist and started at Peds Plus right out of college; it was my dream job! I grew up in Vilonia, AR, and come from a big family with 6 siblings. I went to college at Arkansas Tech, where I have a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Rehabilitative Sciences. I also attended OT school in Memphis at UTHSC. The current loves of my life are my niece, Lucy, and my mini goldendoodle, Blair.
I became connected to Peds Plus through Community Connections while I was in college and volunteered with ACTS JR in Russellville. From there, I made relationships with therapists who helped lead the activities and they stayed in touch with me throughout my journey to become an OT.
What I love about Pediatrics Plus, is who we are and what we represent. Our mission and core values are at the forefront of everything we do. The culture here is something that is hard to find and comes with support around every corner. Being a pediatric OT isn’t just a job or a career path for me, it’s a part of my identity and my purpose, and I don’t know if I would feel that strongly if I didn’t work at Pediatrics Plus. There is a path here for every stage of life and while I am now a director, my identity and purpose continue to stand true. Now I can bring that part of me to help grow and inspire our wonderful team here in Sherwood, as they make incredible impacts on our children and families.
A fun fact about me that a lot of people do not know, is that I taught myself to play the piano 3 years ago mostly by ear!
